Here are my thoughts in GiveMe10 from May07 to Sep07. This is my pre-blog. Enjoy my life this year. I started my GiveMe10 after I attended Studio Classroom 45th Birthday. I have 57 fruits now. There are three ways to get one fruit: 1. Talk with your friend in English for ten minutes. 2. Write down your thoughts. 3. Post your pictures in the Album. Joining this activity really helps me a lot. Thanks for my dear sister, Jennifer, to give me 10 from LA every day. Without you, I can't make it.
9/28 The cruise
Here are the ship facts: Total Staterooms - 1,026; Decks - 10; Passenger capacity - 2,052 ; Total crew - 920; Officers nationality - Italian; Ship size - Large; Tonnage - 70,367; Ship length - 855; Registry - Panama. We have a mandatory lifeboat drill at 4:30pm prior to sailing. We all need to wear the life jacket. I never try it before. Thanks to Lin and John help us wear it. The life jacket is shining. You can save the people easily in the dark ocean.
9/27 I come back from USA
I come back from USA on 9/25/07. I had a serious jet lag past two days. I feel better today. I visited my sister, Jennifer, in LA. We went to take a cruise this time. It is so wonderful. This is my first time to take it. I feel so relax. It is a good chance to learn the American culture. America play BeenGo every day and the cruise has a nice show. Talk more tomorrow~
9/15 I arrived in USA
I arrived in USA yesterday. I have lunch with Betty and Jennifer today. We go to Fashion Island Mall this afternoon. Then I meet my friends in the temple tonight. I feel like I am walking in the universe. Each step is very light. I am glad that I don't sleep during the daytime and hope I have a good sleep tonight.
9/14 Today I will fly like a bird.
I will fly to America today. May everything is fine. Dad always says flying like a bird. I will be America at 6:30PM on 9/14/07.

9/9 Family Man with a cause
This is a very interesting article about people. David Blankenhorn is making the difference to the family issues. Kids need both a mother and a father. Families are the base of a society. If the family is a single mothehood or a divorced one, the children are going to suffer. That is bad for society and kids. David also thinks a gay marriage is not good for kids. A same-sex marriage can't have a mother and a father, but kids need that. It will influence the growth of the children.
9/8 Although it is a terrible,
Although it is a terrible day, the ending is good. I apply my bith certificate today. After that, I join a funeral. Then I plan to work. I found my purse is disappeared. I just think it should be in Mom's bag when I pass papers to her. However, it isn't. I am so nervous to apply the credit card lost and go to work. I receive a call from a man this evening. He found my purse in the funeral. I pick it up in the evening. I am so tired today.
9/6 A busy day
It is a busy today. I am busy at finishing the budget format. My boss just changes the format and asks me to finish it. It has a lot of connection between each sheet. Although I can't do 100% right, I already do my best.
9/5 Chris's Birthday
Today is my younger brother, Chris, birthday. He has a sweet family. Her daughter is very smart and cute. Dad and Mom love her very much. Chris lives in the Nei-Hu right now. Happy birthday to him~ May his wish come true.
9/4 Hospital
Dad doesn't feel well today. We go to the hospital this morning and stay there the whole morning. Dad does the heart-picture, X-ray, the blood check. Everything is fine. But Dad feels faint and can't walk. Hope Dad will recover soon. God bless you~

I can't enter into the Giveme10 last two days. The web has some problems. I am glad you come back again. Although I can't register in the web, I still finish my 10 minutes. Happy~
8/31 Today is the last day of Aug07
Wow, today is the last day of Aug07. Time flies. I will visit Jennifer next month. I can't believe it. I haven't been to USA for 3.5 years since I came back. I am so happy and excited. I can't wait for my vacation.
8/30 Are you happy today?
Yes, we should be happy every day no matter what happens. If we have a positive attitude, we can overcome the difficulities. We should have the courage to accept the challenge. I always like to run away the difficulities. I should change myself from the root. Although I avoid it, it will come back to me. It is the lesson I should learn.
8/29 Shopping
I go to shopping tonight. I buy clothes, short pants, mask, and sun glass for Jennifer & Peter. I hope they will like them.

I am busy at preparing the budget form this week. I finish the first version and foward to my boss today. Hope everything is fine. Then I can have a happy week.

If you sell you soul, no one can pay you back." If you want to be a good leadership, you should integrity of one's character. It is today's advance lesson. Carly Fiorina is the CEO of Hewlett-Packard. She spent her 20 years cutting her teeth and climbing the corporate ladder at AT&T. She made the decision to lay off 7000 employees during the 2001 business downturn. People have a wrong myths of HP that employees never lost their jobs. 8/23 Baseball Terms
I learn some baseball terms today-ground out, strike out, flyout, and pop out. You can find it in the MLB web site. There is a update with the game at the same time. It is so interesting. NYK lost to Angles 9 to 18 yesterday. Add Gas~
8/22 MLB games
There are three series in the final standing-Division Series, Championship Series, & World Series. In the division servies, both of American league and National league have 5 games to 3. In the championship series and world series, there are 7 games to 4. The winner is the team 4 out of 7. I have a clear picture about MLB games now. Thanks for your help- Jennifer.

I want to share MLB with you. You can go to www.mlb.com. You can find the standings on the site. Then you can click it and choose the regular or wild card, or yearly final standings. You can find the "W-Win", "L-lost", "PCT", "GB-Game Back", "L10-Last 10", "Strk-Streak", and "Home". there. You can know the standing of each team. The winner of east, west, central, and wild card of each league will compete to decide which team can enter into the world series with the winner of another league.
8/20 I am busy at the budget this week
I have to finish the budget format for the branch this week. I don't know how to do it, so I feel lots of pressure. I hope I can calm down and finish it on time. Pls bless for me. Thanks a lot.
8/19 Baseball Game
There are two leagues -American & National leagues in USA. They are three divisions-east, west, and middle. The first winner in each division can compete in the final game. The second winner in each division is called as "Wild Card". The first winner of the wild card can enter into the final game, too. Wow, it is a little complex to understand, but it is interesting. Is my understanding right, Jennifer? Pls commend it. Thanks for your help.
8/18 Typhoon Day
Today is a typhoon day. I stay at home and watch the baseball game. NYY and Det have a game this morning. The wind and rain are not very heavy today. Sometimes it rains hard, but not all the time. I am behind the class schedule now. I can catch up the class today. I received the Sep magazine yesterday and found my writing on May in English corner is posted on the feedback next month. This is the second time that my writing is posted in the magazine. It is a big encouragment to me. Thanks a lot.
8/16 Do you like your job?
It is very lucky to find the job you like. Although we don't want to work for money, we have to face the realistic life, too. It is very hard to find a suitable position in Taiwan now. The job demand is less than the job supply. Many companies move to China now. We spend more than 8 hours in job every day. Try to love your job. When you get up in the morning, do you feel happy to work? As we grow up, we have to work. We need learn to handle the responsibility and pressure. Make our life easier.
8/15 If you meet unfair treatment in the job ?
One of my co-worker is a contractor. She feels that her co-workers are unfair to her. They don't tell her how to do the work, but require the same working process to her. She uses her own way to file the papers, but gets the complain from her co-workers.(They don't tell her how to file the paper in advance.) She feels humanity is ugly and selfish.

One of my favorite foods are French Fries. Mac French Fries are very famous. But the news show that Mac French Fries are not vegetarian. The oils are not vegetable oils. Wow~ It is a big surprising fact. I can't eat it at Mac any more. I am a vegetarian. Can Mac find a way to improve it? I am expecting that.
8/1 Do you like shopping or exercising better?
I like exercising better than shopping. I don't go shopping often because I may spend lots of money. I only go shopping when I need to buy something. I prefer to go hiking than stay at home. Hiking is a good exercise. When I finish hiking, I feel relax and comfortable. But if it is very hot, I prefer to stay at the mall. I don't want to burn out under the sun. Do I confuse you? Ha ha ha~~~

Today is the last day of July. It will be a new month tomorrow. Time flies quickly. No matter what happens, we should be happy every day and have confidence to face new challenges. We don't need to be afraid of changing, and just do our best. We should have a new life every day.

I am not a creative person. I can't have a new idea in a flash. But I am trying to figure out a better way of doing a task at work or at home. Genes may also set a genetic makeup. A creative person doesn't like being hemmed in by rules or convention and often looks at problems from a different angle. How about you?

7/26 Have you ever ridden a really fast roller coaster?
Yes, I have ever ridden a really fast roller coaster at six flags in LA. I was very excited and felt my heart would jump out. I also screamed out. It is one way to release your pressure after screaming out. As I am getting old, I will not take it again. It's too breathtaking and I feel my heart can not handle it now. I want to have some relax activities instead of the roller coaster. It is easier for me right now.
7/25 A big gift from Studioclassroom
I received a Big Gift-Aug M-Mag and Thank You Card from Studioclassroom yesterday. I was so happy. I am one of the 1000 who gets 25 fruits. I just started the GiveMe10 from May. I think I am behind a lot of people. It doesn't bother me, because I love English and want to practice it every day. This is not what will happen I expect. It is a very big encouragment for me. 7/24 Let's go to the movies for science class
This is a very interesting article. We can learn the physics through the movies. I learn the physics when I was a junior high school student. The physics is so hard to understand. Advance teachers said that physics is everywhere. In Minnesota, a university professor teaches the students," Everything I know about science I learned from reading comic books.". It is a new idea for me.

Don't be influence by others' behaviors. It is hard for me. We should not put the burden on our shoulders. We all know that, however it is difficult to let it go. That is the lesson I need to face now. I hope I can be happy every day. God~ Please help me.
7/22 In Pursuit of the Orcas
Orcas are killer whales. Its size is 27-33 ft. Males can live up to 60 years. Females can live up to 90 years. I have seen Orcas in the sea world. They are so big. They are animals, not fish. They eat 500 pounds of food every day, such as herring, seal, squid, penguins, etc. They are the most contaminated mammal living in Arctic regions, Norwegian researchers say. The tenants didn't respect the son. They kill him and take his inheritance. The ow
ner of the vineyard came and punished the tenants. He will rent the vineyard to other tenants who will give him share of the crop at harvest time. Jesus can be the stumbling stone or the corner stone in our life depending on our decision. We can build our life on him. Then he is our corner stone. What is your decision? Friends~

Today is Friday. I will go to the Bible Study tonight. I am so happy to meet the StudioClassroom Teachers again. We will discuss "The Parable of the Tenants in the Vineyard". This parable talks about a landowner rent the vineyard to some farmers. When the harvest time came, he sent his servants to collect the fruit. However, the tenants seized, beat, killed, and stoned his servants. Last of all, he sent his son to the tenants. Will the tenants respect his son? Continue tomorrow~

I had a meeting with my boss and CFO yesterday. My boss thought I was overright. She never told me before. It just like a erupting volcano. Work is easy, but people's thought is difficult. I feel hurt by her. I am not a child any more. We shouldn't eat every fruits when people give me. I will focus on my job, and don't care about a crazying woman's word. It is not fair to me. Why should I care about that?

The mall is near the beach, too. There are many department stores in the mall. So you can have a crazy shop there. There is only one department store in one mall in Taiwan. I miss the mall in USA. It is so big. You will feel very relax there.

I have an afternoon Tea with Frances at Rose Tea House on Sunday afternoon. It is a very quiet and classic place. We feel very wonderufl and have a good time there. You can have many tea choices. I never saw it before. I order one maple leaves Tea and Frances orders one rose Tea. Both of them taste good. You can try it, too.

It is never being too late to change yourself. Although we do not learn how to put our thinking caps on when we are child, we still can learn it now. We can't avoid making decision. If you miss one time, it will come back to you again. Here are the steps toward positive change: First, study behaviors in others. Second, notice what habits help people scucceed. Third, look at your ideal life five years from now. Try it~ Your life can be better in the future.

The weeds are hard to pull up. We should be careful about the plants of good or bad seeds in our mind. It will make a big difference at the end.

7/8 I am too nervous today
I am too nervous today. I saw my shirt wet and found my skin had oil on it. But I don't remember my clothes got oil on it. I thought my skin has unnormal condition. I was so nervous and thought my health has some problem. Then I took half day off to visit the doctor. The doctor said that some things have oiled my shirt and then my skin got it though the shirt. My skin can't have oil by itself. What a terrible day it is~ Unhappy~

My brother, Chris, and his daughter come back today. My father is so happy. He feels his leg painful recently. When he sees Chris and Irene come back, he can walk more today. When our mind changes, the result will be different. Just like my father, his mind makes him stronger. So children can take care the elder, too. Isn't it very powerful?

Do you like to compare with others? Do you admire others who are rich and wealth? The world isn't always fair. If you care about others too much, you will not feel happy and live on others' shadow. You don't live for yourself. Expecting others' change is so difficult, but it is easy to change yourself. Although you have much money, it doesn't mean you can use it. If you want to help others even you only have little money, you are still rich.

As my father is getting older, I feel he is like a child. He is afraid of being alone and needs to be taken care of. But sometimes he is so stubborn. He doesn't like to move, so he is like a robot. The mustard seed is very small. If we have the faith, it will grow up and become a tree. For the yeast, it is like we put the cookie into the oven to bake it. When we face the difficulty (like the heat in the oven), we can pass it if we have the faith or trust from the God. Otherwise, the cookie can be burned out. That means we may lose in our life. I think it is hard to have a positive mind when we have difficulties.

I went to Living Mall with Chris and Irene. When we take the escalator, I stand behind the Chris and his daughter, Irene. I see Chris's big hand leads Irene's small hand. I recall that when I was a child, my dad did it, too. My dad is getting old now. We should lead him due to he is sick. Isn't it a feedback to the family? I am so touched. I visited Ruthy's home yesterday. She was the first friend I have in Long Beach. She will give her baby birth next month. 6/12 A miracle in Chicago
Thanks for Jennifer's call from Chicago to give me 10. She shares with me the testimony there. The driving navigation satellite system (GPS, Global Positioning System) didn't function at all in Chicago. (Jennifer lives in LA and travels with Jiu Fu to Chicago.) After Jiu Jiu and Jiu Fu pray to God together, the satellite can work suddenly. Isn't it a miracle? Although our faith is small, God still takes care of us. Hope Jennifer and Peter have a nice trip. Due to we work, my mom brings my dad to the hospital. She takes care of Dad. It is not easy to take care of patients. Although she is not patient sometimes, I can't do as she does. She is so great. My dad is so lucky.
